It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year that I’ve been running my business full-time! It’s still exciting, crazy, and lots of hard work (and scary sometimes!) but I wouldn’t trade it. I bet you feel the same if you have your own small business.
After lots of review, reflection, and lessons learned over the year, I’m changing things up a bit. But, don’t worry, it’s nothing drastic!
New Rate
As of November 1, 2011, I have increased my rate for new clients.
Clients active prior to November 1 can still take advantage of my previous rate through the end of the year. Now’s the time to start a project before your rate goes up in the new year! (Need some ecommerce? Maybe a new site in a hurry? How about a maintenance plan?)
New rate: $60/hour
Of course, this rate only applies to hourly things. Projects and packages are still flat rate based on the project details. I’ve updated my Website Packages to reflect new package rates (they didn’t all go up!).
All projects & work will have a contract and project plan or work order detailing the work to be done, even if it’s maintenance. Just so there are no surprises when we take care of a little paperwork before we start on your next project. I’ve got it all streamlined so it’s painless. :)
New Terms
I’ve had really amazing feedback on my payment options. As a result, I’ve changed my terms to use them all the time. I will no longer have a net 21 day term and this is effective immediately.
If you’re not familiar with them, here is how the payments work.
Projects $500 – 999: 1 payment with a 7% discount or 2 equal payments. For example:
Your project is $750. You can make:
1 payment of $697.50 (due at project start)
2 payments of $375 (due at project start and finish)
Projects over $1000: 1 payment with a 7% discount, 2 equal payments, or 3 equal payments. For example:
Your project is $1500. You can make:
1 payment of $1395 (due at project start)
2 payments of $750 (due at project start and finish)
3 payments of $500 (due at project start, middle, and finish)
All payments are due upon invoice receipt.
Other Details
(These haven’t changed.)
- Payments 30 days late will incur a late fee of 1.5%, compounded monthly.
- The $25 returned check fee remains the same.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I’d love to hear your feedback!
